This is a small site about home brew wine making, giving simple instructions for making normal fruit wine and for making 25 other wines using a blend of dried flowers, roots, leaves and seeds. These other wines were once sold as home brew wine kits by Plantation House. This site uses plain HTML and is hosted on our Linux server in Redbus Interhouse, London.  [Back]

The main purpose for this website is not to provide information about winemaking, but as a form of advertising for Plantation House's tobacco seeds business. Very few people would think to grow their own tobacco. By providing a website about winemaking, anybody who finds www.WineWorldFDW.com will also see some information about growing tobacco. This is a simple and cheap form of advertising targetted at home wine makers - people who may well be likely to grow their own tobacco.

Plantation House provided us with the text content for the site. We rewrote the entire site to optimise it for the search engines. We chose to give this site a warm feel as this seems well suited to a site about wine.

The content for this site was received on 29th September 2001, and the site went live on 4th October 2001, just one week later. Further pages and images will be added to this site as and when time permits.  [Back]
